5 Minutes
A six-episode series that celebrates the power of smiles and the noble profession of dentists. Presented by Fábio Bibancos, the ‘Bibliotheca do Sorrir’ is a celebration of smiles.
This production, brilliantly directed by Bernardo Bibancos and with photography direction by Lara Dias, is a celebration of smiles. She leads us to reflect on the importance of a smile, which ranges from masterpieces like Mona Lisa’s to moments as simple as a child’s first smile. The series uses Newton Moreno’s poetry and dramaturgy to show that the right to smile should belong to everyone, not a privileged few.
What many see as something simple, for others it is a serious problem. Missing teeth, untreated dental problems, and pain drastically affect the lives of people who do not have access to adequate dental care. From food to employment, every aspect of life is influenced by oral health.
